A Star is Born          

                        Wayne Connolly motors was born on July 21st 1993 from a derelict site on Owen Street, Chestergate, Stockport.  With just £7,000 loan from a friends

   grandmother as equity and an empty unit,  Wayne and his team grew the

     business to what it is  today.

      Wayne began his career in the motor industry in 1985 on a Youth

      Training Scheme at a local independent garage and worked there

      until starting his own business in 1993.

     He believed there was an opportunity in his industry for an all-encompassing garage that deals honestly with clients and offers solutions

                          to their problems with minimum fuss.

During 1994 Wayne Connolly Motors expanded the workshop in the centre of Stockport to over 3 times it's original size. In 1997 a tyre and exhaust centre was purpose built next to their main workshop.

In 1999 they opened a second new branch in the heart of Hazel Grove. Just 12 months later the company opened their third branch in Altrincham. All 3 branches were new start up businesses which now have a combined turnover of £1.4million, 31 employees, 26 ramps and 5 MOT bays.

The company's strategy and plan is to :

• Continue to re-invest in facilities.

• Supply training for the workforce.

• Keep up with technology.

• Retain existing customers.

• Gain new recommendations.

• Further controlled expansion.
